How to make a Placenta Tincture:

  1. Take all or part of the fresh placenta and blending it with a quality vodka or brandy.
  2. This mixture is stored in a glass mason jar for 6 weeks in a cool dark environment, vaccilate (give the jar a swirl) every day.
  3. The final product is made by straining off the placenta solids.  We have found this is easy to do using a funnel and an unbleached coffee filter.
  4. The final product is a potent tincture which can also be used to success into a homeopathic placenta remedy.    (For more information including a step-by-step guide for homeopathic placental remedy visit Moonsong)

Placenta tincture is useful for all sorts of hormonal balancing from PMS to menopause.  Store your mason jar in a cool, dark place, it will last indefinitely.  Fill a small tinted dropper glass jar for daily use.  (use a rinsed echinecea dropper bottle or similar)

Dosage: Suggested dosage is 10-40 drops in water two to three times a day.

Placenta Mother Tincture may:

  • help balance hormones post-birth
