When I receive feedback and birth stories from clients explaining the positivity of their post-birth experience, that’s when I truly know your job is more than just a service, it’s a gift. Our job is to deliver more than just placenta capsules. We bring a presence of hope to those who may have struggled before or those who fear a struggle with their recovery. I often have clients who continue thanking me from the moment we meet until the moment I leave, their hearts are filled with thanks that someone out there understands that birth isn’t just about having a baby, it’s also about dealing with becoming a new mother and the addition of another little person in their lives and the change it brings. With it comes peeks and valleys, tears and joy. Our presence shows that we care about the ‘after birth’ phase.
Our service offers a natural remedy that will physically and mentally help them heal faster, recover quicker and simply feel better after birth. I feel the NHS misses out on this significant time, quick to push a questionnaire into hands of mothers who express feelings of sadness, labeling them with PND without offering support other than drugs or long waiting lists to speak to someone who doesn’t really understand. As Placenta Specialists we may be labeled as ‘hippy freaks’ by those who refuse to look deeper into the science behind our trade but my clients give me all the faith I need to carry on and continue to spread the word about placenta remedies. My own experience alone gave me that faith to tackle frigid NHS hospitals and my clients trust and feedback gives me the courage to continue to train, support and provide the most unique and natural post-birth remedy service available in the UK. The incredible team of intelligent women who have trained with me are what made IPEN happen, I’m so thankful for your support!
